How much will it cost to purchase bulk beef?
Pricing for quarters, halves, and whole beef varies based on the hot hanging weight. Both the beef cost and processing fees are calculated from that weight.
For current estimates, please contact Oswald Farms Beef. Final pricing can only be determined once the hanging weights are available.
How is your beef raised?
Our beef is raised on our generational farm and ranch in south central Montana. We practice sustainability and regenerative farming methods, and we are proud to offer hormone-free, grain-finished beef.
The cattle are finished right here on the farm with feed we grow, then processed locally at a USDA-inspected facility.
How much beef will I get, and how much freezer space will it take?
The final amount can vary because every animal is different. Quarter, half, and whole beef orders are helpful for stocking your freezer, but exact weights and final cost depend on the animal and processing.
Quarter Beef
A good starting option for smaller households or first-time bulk buyers.
Half Beef
A stronger freezer-stocking choice for families who cook beef often.
Whole Beef
Best for larger households, shared orders, or serious freezer planning.
I have never ordered bulk beef. How do I know what cuts to choose?
We are happy to help answer questions and explain the process. You can review options like burger package size, roast size, steak thickness, and which cuts you want.
Stillwater Packing contacts customers to go over the cut sheet so your beef is prepared the way you want it. Do not be afraid to ask questions — we are here to help.
